We Changed the Face of Political Organizing Forever

More than 52,000 SEIU members have shaped a new kind of political movement in this country—a movement too powerful to go away now that the votes are tallied.

SEIU built the largest political mobilization of any single organization in the history of America politics. We applied our organizing know-how and provided an unprecedented amount of people power to help create and sustain bold grassroots efforts.

Almost 5 million new voters were registered by SEIU, American Families United, and America Coming Together.
SEIU members and staff made more than 6 million voter contacts.
500,000 SEIU members—many of them low-wage workers who earn less than $30,000 a year—voluntarily contributed a total of $16 million towards the union's political action fund.
More than 2,750 members and staff took leave from their jobs to do full-time political work with other organizations, allowing the union to reach beyond the labor movement.
