Increasing the federal funds states receive to provide health care for those who need it -- through the federal Medicaid match -- would help states deal with budget crises.

The State Budget Relief Act, H.R. 3414, will provide billions in increased Medicaid funding and immediate assistance to states to help provide health care for working families.
