SEIU Scholarship Program Offers 48 Scholarships Yearly

$1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS (RENEWABLE)
Fifteen $1,000 scholarships are available in annual installments for up to four years.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must graduate from a high school or GED program by August 2004. They must be enrolled as a college freshman by the fall semester of 2004 at an accredited, four-year college or university. This scholarship award is not available to applicants who plan to attend a two-year program or trade school.
$1,500 SCHOLARSHIPS (NON-RENEWABLE)
Thirty-three $1500 scholarships covering one year of study are available for continuing education.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be returning to an accredited college or university as a sophomore, junior, or senior as of the fall semester of 2004; or attending an accredited community college, trade, or technical school as of the fall semester of 2004.
All applicants must read "Stronger Together," and then correctly answer all the questions on the SEIU Scholarship Program application form in order to qualify for a lotter drawing selection process. "Stronger Together" is available here or through union locals.
Selection Process
Recipients for both types of scholarships are selected by a lottery drawing of qualifying applications.
