Fulfill Your College Goals with an SEIU Scholarship
Unions help working families to fulfill their dreams in many different ways. At SEIU, that includes yearly college scholarship programs.
Through four different scholarship programs, SEIU awards 51 scholarships that enable SEIU members and their children to pursue their educational goals at accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools.
SEIU "Classic" Scholarship ProgramThe SEIU Scholarship Program offers 48 $1,000 and $1,500 scholarships. To qualify for the lottery drawing, students must read "Stronger Together" and then correctly answer all the questions on the SEIU Scholarship Program application form.
SEIU Moe Foner Scholarship Program For Visual and Performing ArtsSEIU is proud to offer a scholarship that continues the life's work of the late Moe Foner, who devoted himself to honoring working people through the arts. The $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually to SEIU members and their children who are pursuing a degree or training in the visual or performing arts.
SEIU-Jesse Jackson Scholarship ProgramThe $5,000 SEIU-Jesse Jackson scholarship is awarded to a student whose work and aspirations for economic and social justice reflect the values and accomplishments of the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
SEIU Nora Piore Scholarship Program
Applications for this scholarship are closed for 2003-2004. The Piore Scholarship has already been awarded for this time period.
